I have loved photography since first going into a darkroom at about 8 years of age (1973). I have been doing Black and White “analogue” photography until about 2013. At this point, I transitioned primarily to digital with the introduction and purchase of an Olympus OM-D EM-1 that, for me, is the first digital camera I really felt a desire to use.

As a Software Engineer by profession, I am really fascinated in technologies used in cameras, lenses and post processing softwares that provide the ability to create technically decent photographs with small and lightweight equipment in difficult conditions. As such, the photographer has the opportunity to concentrate on making beautiful pictures without struggling with the constraints apparent in analogue photography.

Of course, I love taking photographs – please have a look at my Flickr and 500px pages.
